ADE Lab 2022 at Brakke Grond was in a long awaiting cue on Saturday 22nd, everyone was excited to attend a live session with the dance icon Carl Cox. The three deck wizard discussed his upcoming album and took questions from the audience. This was a unique opportunity to see one of the greatest DJs in history up close and personal. ADE Lab 2022 Presents: A Live Session with Carl Cox

For over 30 years, Carl Cox has been at the forefront of dance music, playing all over the world and pioneering new sounds and styles. This October, he released his first album in over 10 years, ‘Electronic Generations’. Written, produced and performed by Carl himself, it truly captures the feeling of those hybrid-live sets we all long for.Curious how he does it? This was a rare opportunity to see him up close and personal in a studio environment. Joining him on stage a moderator Sagid Carter – journalist, broadcaster for an intimate conversation about his new album ‘Electronic Generations’ and insights into his hybrid-live sets.

Carl’s legendary Ibiza residency also continues to break boundaries. Celebrating an astounding 14 consecutive years at Space in 2015, Carl and Safehouse Management have built their weekly residency into one of the Island’s most popular nights, acclaimed for its adventurous and forward-thinking line-ups, musical direction and state of the art production. This, along with Carl’s highly involved and passionate role as promoter, programmer and host, is why each year has seen a growth and progression from the last, both in terms of quality and size.

Beyond Ibiza Carl continues to deliver his Carl Cox & Friends stage at Ultra, for what has long been one of the festival’s highlights. “2015 will be our 11th year at Ultra, and I’m certain it will go on and on,” says Carl. “We have a very special thing there. They give us free reign in everything. The look, staging, sound, what DJs we book, all of it is down to us, and that’s a great thing, and why we keep going back.” All this and still Carl’s ‘Global’ radio show continues to break records, now reaching over 17-million weekly listeners worldwide and is syndicated across over 60 terrestrial FM, satellite and DAB stations throughout 35 countries, making him one of the most important broadcasters on the planet, and the most followed DJ on Mixcloud.
